World Championship tickets in demand

The advance sale of tickets fort he FIS Alpine World Ski Championship started on July 1st, 2011. The first résumé of sales is very positive. 80 % of the tickets for the ladies’ slalom, in which the 3 local heroes Maria and Susanne Riesch as well as Fanny Chemlar could be starting, have already been sold.

„Buying tickets should not be put off for too long “

„I’m sure we could sell even more tickets, particularly for the four competitions at the weekends. But we have a limited capacity here. For someone who wants to get tickets for a particular competition in a certain category, buying tickets should not be put off for too long“, advises Peter Fischer, Director of the Organisational Committee of the Alpine World Ski Championships.

Beside the ladies slalom, the men’s slalom with Felix Neurether and the two runs is particularly high in demand. „The marketing activities are only just starting and the bookings from fan clubs and travel agents are still pending. That’s why the sales so far have me convinced that we can expect a fantastic atmosphere worthy of a World Championship at all eleven competitions“, says a pleased Fischer.

Tickets are available at all ticket agencies of MünchenTicket or online on the homepage of the World Championship www.gap2011.com. Fan clubs and groups from 30 persons or more are eligible for special rates.
