Helicopter flies camera platforms to Kandahar

The construction work at the Kandahar race track is getting up to speed. For the first race of the World Championships, the Ladies' Super G on February 8th, all preparations are exactly on schedule. A helicopter has now brought all the platforms for the cameras and trainers to the track.

In total, the helicopter transported 35 camera and trainer platforms - just under 27 tons of material - to Kandahar. Those areas not accessible by roads were approached by helicopter. The World Championships will be starting on February 8th with the Ladies' Super G. A race that the German ski fans should not miss, considering that local hero Maria Riesch belongs to the favourites for a medal in this first competition.
